SAFE
UK is
a voluntary organisation set up to offer free and confidential
support and advice to individuals who self injure and
to their family members, carers, friends, doctors and
front line workers
SAFE UK is
run by trained volunteers with first hand experience
of self injury
SAFE UK's current
services include; One-to-One Mentoring with trained
volunteers in Eastbourne
and surrounding
areas and
telephone support lines open during office hours. New
services for 2008 will include; facilitated support groups
and a drop-in clinic.
SAFE UK delivers
training and workshops to statutory and third sector
agencies to develop a better
understanding and support network to people affected
by self-injury.
